[press association.] •GREYMOUTH, Sept. 10. A landslip blocked a creek at the Blackball mine, dammed the water, and when the obstruction burst the water flooded the mine, wrecking the buildings and .©weeping trees into the mine.
No one was hurt. Gangs are (working night and day to clear the debris away. The damage is estimated at £1000. . Mr Leitch, mine-jnanager, has been appointed general manager of the company.
