JUNIOR CUP
OPAWA (12) v CENTRAL B (9)
This was a fast and at times exciting match, and was played on No. 2 ground at the Domain. Opawa had all the better of the opening stages, but failed tb score lowing to overeagerness and faulty passing. Soon, however, from a forward rush McKenna got over, but Central equalised matters-shortly afterwards. In the second spell Opawa secured three more tries, none of which were converted. A few minutes before the call of time the Renwick team scored, and from the kick-off at the 25 the ball was marked, and S. Jordan placed a goal. There was no further score on either side, Opawa winning Lwihree points. Besides McKenna, Mogridge, Nicholl and Galvin scored for Opawa, and N. Jordan and Hawkins gained tries for Central B. Mr E. S. Hylton carried the whistle.
