RIFLE UNION.

The annual mooting of the Marlborou%h Rifle Union was held -on Saturday night.' Capt. Law was in the chair. The Blenheim Rifies were represented by Lieut. O'Sullivan, SergtsHadfield and Jordan; Marlborough Mounted Rifles by Capt. Watson; Waitohi Rifles by - Lieut. Lloyd and Corporal Lane; Tua Marina Rifle Club by Capt. Law, ' Riflemen Davies and Cuthbertson; Sounds -Rifle Club by Capt. Cresswell; and the Renwick Riflle Club by Rifleman Gee. The annual balance-sheet, as read by . the Secretary, showed 'the Union to be > in a sound financial position, and was adopted. Lieut.-Colonel Chaytor was re-elect-ed president, and Captain Watson, secretary. After routine business had been transacted, the meeting rose, and the first meeting of the new executive was subsequently held, when it was decided* to hold the field-firing competition as usual on 3rd June.
