QUARREL WITH THE MINISTER

DUNEDIN, April 15. The Otago Education -Board has passed a resolution expressing satisfaction that,the Minister has at last granted £350 for an* additional room at "(he Forbury school, but expressing regret that the Minister did not accept- the recommendation of the Board in the first place. It protests emphatically against the course pursued by the Department in permitting the determination of the matter to an official, as implying want of confidence in the Board and its officers, and a violation of their rights
