A WOMAN'S DEATH.
AUCKLAND, March 2. ' A married woman ' named Lilian
Britten, who gave,• birth to■ a child a' v few days ago, died in the hospital from blood-poisoning yesterday. An inquest will be necessary, as-the medical certificate of death was withheld.
It is understood that the nurse-at-tending Mrs Britten asked that a medical mail should he called in, but she refused to see a doctor until she was so ill that it became absolutely necessary-; then Dr Murphy-ordered her immediate removal to the -hospital. ■' ■'■' ,-i :,-..■
