CANAVAN CUP,

The Mounted Rifles fired the first competition on Saturday for a Cup kindly presented by Captain Canavan to the corps. The Cup is a very handsome one, and the members are all very keen to secure the fust log-in for it. Corp. Boycc made a very good score on Saturday, with Trooper lay a close second. The contritions were 10 shots at 200 and .500 yards. The next competition .will be held on the 23rd November. following are the scores:—
