A BOGUS CABLEGRAM.
THE TARIFF AND SYDNEY EXHIBITION. [press association.] (Received Sept. 22, 4.20 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 21. The Tribune publishes a cablegram to the effect that Mr Coghlan (AgentGeneral for New South Wales) cabled to his Government intimating that, owing to the hostile character of the Commonwealth tariff, British and Continental manufacturers were unlikely to support the proposed Sydney Exhibition.
Inquiries made at Mr Coghlan's office elicited the fact that no such telegram, had been sent.
