LOSS OF A GERMAN STEAMER

The steamer Tsinan brings Retails of the burning of the German steamer Wik, while on the voyage from Yokohama to Kobe.

The vessel ran into a typhoon, and then a fire broke out below. The men were driven from the engine-room, and the vessel came to a standstill. Helpless, she drifted ashore and was wrecked. The crew were rescued by native fishermen. ■
