The vernacular Egyptian press states that Turkey is planning the construction of fortifications and entrenchments along a wide front parallel to Egyptian territory, especially near Al Arish, in Syria.
The Egyptian Government opposes the action, on the ground that it will menace the neutrality of the Suez
Canal
