SEYMOUR SQUARE.

TO THE EDITOR,

Sir, —Could' ■) you inform me where the Blenheim Borough Council raised the money to remove the gate from the Henry Street corner of Seymour Square and put a turnstile in its place? They have not any funds to keep the roads and footpaths in anything like repair, yet they can always find a tew pounds to spend in doing jobs that would be better left undone. I would like to point out that the gate was the only place where ladies with perambulators could enter the square. At yesterday's concert ladies with small children had to leave their perambulators outside and hold their children in their arms while standing listening to the band. I noticed that most of the seats in the Square were taken up by young men and boys, who did not seem to notice the discomfort of the ladies. OBSERVER.
