STOCK SALES.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report holding the usual stock sale at their Blenheim yards yesterday afternoon, the attendancebeing_ good. In sheep, the lines yarded were passed in at auction ;■ buyers declining to rise to vendors' values. Business however resulted by .private treaty} good mouth crossbred ewes in lamb to Shropshires changing hands at 11s 6d empty merino ewes,/ aged, at 6s. For cattle the competition was keen, but the fats came forward in a half-finished condition and sold at prices ranging from £4 7s 6d to £6 3s 9d. Dairy cows £4 12s 6d to £8 2s 6d. /Calves ss-to 10s.
