The British Weekly declares that the Government is constantly and vainly making overtures, and constantly estranging its friends. This has led to a private assurance that the Education Bill of 1908 will be drastic.

Forty-five Nonconformist Member* of the House of Commons and the education committee of the National Free Church Council have resolved to agitate to strengthen the action of the Government in a drastic direction.
