Charles Armour estimates the shrinkage in the United Packers' business at the rate of thirty millions sterling per year. Ogden Armour informed the Daily Mail interviewer that the revelation's were directly, engineered by President Roosevelt, who had strong personal animus against the Chicago packers, and in order to vent Ms spite was willing to do anything to- discredit them, even if he inflicted infinite damage on one of the foremost American industries.
