CONTINUATION OF THE
INQUEST
EVIDENCE OF ARSENICAL
POISONING

, DUNEDIN, May 15. At the inquest on the victims of the Cement Works fatality, Dr. Roberts, pathologist to the Dmiediri Hospital said that ho performed a post-mortem examination on the body of the late John Oilman Anderson. The examination was made, not by order of the Court, but as a matter of scientific interest. The functions of the kidneys, he said, had been almost entirely abolished, and that would lead to death from secondary poisoning of the system. b
Professor Black, of Otago University, states that he cleaned certain bottles lor post-mortem examination. Jhey contained different parts of the body, lie round- arsenic in the liver, lungs, kidneys, etc. In four different liquors he found arsenic—in everything he looked for it in. After other evidence had been given, the inquest was adjourned.
