DESTRUCTION BY FIRE.

[press association.] AUCKLAND, Nov. 6. Bond and Judd's timber mill was completely destroyed by fire to-day. A large stock of timber and a quantity of machinery were destroyed. The brigade turned out and a fire float went across, but was unable to cope with the flames, which made a clean sweep. The origin is unknown. A fire at Mangere on Sunday morning destroyed a store occupied by J. P. Poulson, storekeeper, and the building adjoining, occupied as a store-room; also a building in which A. C. Poad, blacksmith and coachsmith, carried on his business. The insurances are: Liverpool, London and Globe, £319; Victoria, £300; Norwich Union, £75. The loss is considerably over these figures.
