[press association.] DUNEDIN, Nov. 6. The grounds were so wet that the opening of the cricket and bowling had again to be postponed . AUCKLAND, Nov. 6. John McSweeny, 22, was arrested and remanded for a week (bail being refused) on a charge of shooting three Chinese at Arch Hill, with intent to do bodily harm. Ten Chinese pursued the man, who escaped, but he was arrested this morning from their description. (The circumstances of the case are reported by a telegram appearing elsewhere.) AUCKLAND, Nov. 6. The Government steamer Tutanekai will be despatched to-day at noon, under instructions from the Marine Department, to search for the dismasted vessel reported by the Iquiqui.
