The Teachers' Superannuation Bill was referred to the Education Committee; the Shipping and Seamen's Bill passed through Committee; the Coal Mines Act Amendment Bill was read a second time'pro forma. Mr Seddon announced that a start would be made with the Financial debate on Tuesday evening. The second reading of the Fire Brigades Bill was carried by 37 to 18.
