INCIDENTS ON A BATTLESHIP* *V«k Association. EUctric Telegraph Oopyrioht. London, June 7. While the Japanese were conveying the battleship Orel to Sasebo ten Rir sian engineers tried to explode a maga* zinc. Eight of them were shot. Twelve Russians who were badly wounded implored their comrades to throw them overboard. This was dene without the knowledge of the Japa« nese. The captain of the Orel, before ex* piring, apologised to the Japanese for the cruelty and mutinous behaviour of his crew. A 12 inch shell pocetrated the But* sian battleship Orel's engine room, aa4 smashed everything on deck. The bombardment was so terrifio that flesh and bones of fire hundred dead were scattered in all directions. Thirty five survivors drifted in bofttt to Nagato, after fifteen hours' ex* posureatsea.
