NON-BRANDING SHEEP.
A SETTLER FINED.
Wanganui, February 3.
At the Magistrate's Court this morning a wellknown settler was charged with neglecting to brand 500 sheep immediately after being shorn. He pleaded gnilty, but stated he was ignorant of the law, and was fined 3d per head, the aot providing for a maxi* mum penalty of 10s per head.
