TROUT POACHERS FINED.

At the Police Court to-day three young men, charged with taking trout with a net at Karitane, near the urouth of the Waikouaiti River, were eaoii fined 20s and costs. The Magistrate inflicted a light penalty in the hope of deterring other " campers out" from committing the same offence.

A young man named Alfred Good, alias John Willis, was committed for 'sentence this morning ou three charges of breaking and entering
Charles Henry Cox, found guilty of breaking and entering, was sentenced to four years, concurrent with a similar sentence he is already serving.
