THE REPORTED COAL DISCOVERY.

No further details are to hand regat ding the discovery of coal in the Puketuy district, south of Tairua, in tho south eastern portion of the peninsula. Hundreds of acres have been applied for. Reports from other than official Bources state that there is coal good for the household, bub experts so far have not borne out these statements. The capital is available for tho further development of the seam.
