Tn the action Martell against the Miners' Union, a claim for £1000 for loss of employment, a verdict was returned for the defendants. The Judge was of opinion that a combination of the strength of the union for the exclusion of certain persons was not an illegal act. [The union refused to admit Martell as a member, and the miners declined to work with him, so the colliery company was compelled to dispense with his services. Thereupon ho brought an action against the union for damage?.] _____
