A fresh information has been laid against Richard John Carlyon in connection with the Yalgoo outrage. It is understood that the police have secured important additional evidence.
[Oarlyon, a mine owner, was charged with sending through the post to Solomon Lownes, a storekeeper, a box containing gelignite, which, when opened in the Post Office at Yalgoo, exploded, injuring Lownes so severely that one of his arms had to be amputated. A clerk in the Post Office was also injured by the explosion. Carl yon was arrested, but the evidence was. unconvincing, and he was discharged.]
