As soon as the Assembly met the Premier, who previously announced that he accepted all responsibility for the Attorney General's action in regard to Friedman, tabled the papers in connection with the case.
Mr Carruthers thereupon moved that the action of the Government in the Friedman case is a breach of principles underlying the system of trial by jury.
On the motion of the Premier the House immediately adjourned.
