Press Association. Electric Telegraph Copyright. Greymouth, September 30. In connection with the sawmillers' dispute a conference was held here yesterday afternoon, when terms were come to ia regard to prices, which remain as heretofore.
The Tyneside Colliery Company are erecting bins and screens. The mine is clear of water and in good condition, with a large quantity of good coal in sight. Owing to the backward state of the bins and screens, ife will be two months before coal is in the market. A large number of unemployed in the district propose calling a public meeting to urge the Government to proceed more rapidly with the State coal railway. -

For having uncustomed tobacco in his possession a young man was fined £6, treble value of the goods. The tobacco was purchased from the China collier Mercedes.
