IS IT THE TIMARU?
Gisborne, September 30. The steamer Beatrice left port at 9.30 a.m. to cemmunicate with the vessel sighted off Turehau. She is described as a large barque with only her foremast standing. Her position
is about twelve miles off shore, near .Ariel Keef. A light northeasterly wind is blowing, and the vessel appears to have difficulty in steering. It is thought she may be the overdue Timaru.
