The annual general meeting of this Club was held at the Ferry Hotel last Thursday evening, Mr Lamb being elected Chairman. The report and balance-sheet showed the Club to be in » good financial position, having a credit balance of 16s sd, and assets to the value of about £30, with liabilities practically nil. After discussing sueeested improvements contained in the report it was finally adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing season. Patron, Mr J. C. Ohsytor; President, Mr J. H. Redwood ; Vfqe Presidents, Hon. C. H. Mills, Messrs J. Gordon, J. Barr, A. Sobertson, and R. Cresswell; Secre tary and- Treasurer, R. Sheridan; Delegate to Association, W. Lamb; General Committee, Messrs Barclay, O. Hastilow, Millard, Lamb, and Withey. . The retiring Secretary (Mr 1 J. Withey) was presented by Mr F. Gane, on behalf of subscribers, with a silver-mounted pipe, in appreciation of his services during the last four years. Th.c trophies of last season were won as follows:~Senior batting; F. Gane; senior bowling, F. Gane: junior batting, O. Silebck; junior bowling, G. Withey. Trophies for next season were promised by Messrs Lamb, Barr, Millard, and J. Withey. It was resolved that the Committee enquire as to the probable strength of the Club, and enter a senior or two junior teams in the Association accordingly. As the ground still proves unsatisfactory the Committee was instructed to ascertain the strength of the Club's finance in the autumn, and if possible have the pitch turfed. A bonns of £5 was offered by the Club to any member who would provide pitches for the season and look after the Club's property, which was accepted by Mr R. Sheridan. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the chairman.
