A BAVARIAN INCIDENT.
AN OUTPOST SURPRISED.
Received August 15, 9.22 a.m. London, August 14. Sir Robert Peel has paid 15 in the £ to all creditors in three failures.
Munich, August 14.
Recently the Chamber of Deputies for Bavaria refused to pass a vote of 100,000 marks for the purchase of certain pictures. The Kaiser thereupon wrote Prince Leopold, of Bavaria, offering him the money for the purpose, at the same time expressing bis displeasure at the Chamber's meanness. Prince Leopold replied thanking the Kaiser, and stated that members of the Bavarian Reichsrath had given the
requisite sum.
