The agricultural statistics fGr the past year show 8,820,000 acres to be under tillage, a decrease of 57,000 acres compared with the previous year. Perth, Jane 10. A remarkable and valuable discovery of water m hitherto dry country has been made m the Eucla district, on the South Australian border, near the coast of the Great Australian Bight. A large supply has been found m the shape of a subterranean lake.
