DEATH OF A NOTABLE PROFESSOR.
Herry Huiley, M.^., L.L.D., D.C.U, F.R.8., was bojn on the 4th May, 1825, at Ealinjg, - He was educated at Ealing Sobo< >1, of which his father was one of t te masters, and at Charing Crops Hospital. He was elected a fellow of the Royal Sooiety {m 1852, and m 1855 was Professor of Natural Bistory at the Royal School of Mine?, and also Fullerian Professor of Physiology at l she Royal Institution. He was subsequently President of the British Association, Hector of the Aberdeen University, Rede lecturer at Cambridge, and President of the Royal Society. In 1885 he resigned his official cfutie's and Bettled down to a life of quiet and comparative retirement at Eastbourne. In 1892 he puMg&ef^ "Essaya on^aEae^jntroverted — "Questions^" a col'ection of fugitive papers on religious and scientific topics. He was called to the Privy Council m August.]
