[TJHITED PBBSB ABBOOUTIOB.] Wellington, June 2. A meeting of the Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union was held last night. Several members of the Commit j tee «rere of opinion that i : » would be an advantage if the Referees' Associations and Unions would take m hand the appointment of touchline judges, as at present the position with regard to them was m many places unsatisfactory. The Chairman (Mr A Wells, Auckland) thought a referee should have power to appoint touch-line judges. Mr J. Strong, of Dunedin, was appointed a member of the Appeal Committee. It was decided to write the Queensland Union, advising that the team should leave Sydney m the Monowai, for Auckland, on August sth, playing the first match m Auckland, on the 10th.
