CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER.
[united press association.] Wellington, January 4 At the Magistrate's Court this afternoon, William Thomas was committed for trial on a charge of manslaughter. Accused and Lawrenoe Gosling, a wharf laborer, quarrelled on the 24th ult, when the latter called Thomas a liar. Tbomaß knocked Gosling down, who sustained a fracture of the ekull, and remained unconsoions for eleven days, and then sucoumbed,
