A CHINAMAN DRINKS GINGER AND OPIUM.
Sydney, December 27. A Chinaman named Ing War committed suicide at Newcastle. On the previous day he had been on a visit to Sydney, where he lost a considerable sum of money m gambling. On his return to Newcastle he went upstairs to his own room, and mixed a quantity of ginger and opium m a pot. He took some of the mixture, and j quietly lay down to die. When medical aid was called he was unconscious, and he n3ver rallied.
