About four months sgo a young man lost his two year old child, who died of diphtheria. He was at the time himself suffering from rheumatio fever, and the death of his child must have preyed upon his mind. Taßierday afternoon he proceeded to the cemetery, and there, despite the protests of the sexton, who is a oripple and could not prevent him, exhumed the body of tbe child. He smashed the coffin to atoms, and out off the oliild's head, wrapping it m a pieoe of brown paper, and oarrying it a distanoe of about threa miles. The sexton at onoe informed the police of what nad occurred, and on their proceeding to the man's reeidonco they found him queer m manner and arrested him. This morning search was made, and the skull was foaod m the garden a few yards to the rear of the man's residence. It was returned to the cemetery and re-interred. The unfortunate man was charged at the Court today with lnnaoy, and remanded for medical examination.
