Rkefton, Deoember 26. There wa« splendid weather for the raoas, and about 1600 people from all parts of the Coast, inoluding the Premier and party were present. Thg following are the ptincipal results : — Hurdles. — Regalia 1, Matarika 2, Maid of the Valley 3. Won easily. Time 2mia 39 2~23e0. President's Handicap. — Ahaura 1, Free-* horn 2, Miss Ann 3. Time Imin 20seo ; Dividend £1 193. Inant^ahua Cup — Geraint 1, Von. Tempsky 2, Crawl? 3. Hark*way also ran. This was a magnificent race, the field being well together throughout. Von Tempeky led for more than half tha distance, when he wa9 unsuccessfully challenged by Crawley, and the former led up the straight. Gersint who had been lying a comfortable second, made a wonderful ruu ia the last 100 yards, and won amidst cheers by slightly over a length D.vidand £2 193. * ' £2778 went through the raaohine, with the Midland's Stakes still to be run. December 27 Von Tompsky and Daisy Clipper ran & dead heat ; Banner third. Dividend Von Tempsky £2 Is, Daisy Clipper 189. '
