GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS.
NEW CONDITIONS. [UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, June 10. A few conditions are to be inserted m Government contracts, providing that each tender must be accompanied by a declaration that the contractor will pay the current rate of wages for similar work m the locality, and recognise eight hours as an ordinary day's labour.
