ACTIVITY IN AMERICAN DOCKYARDS. THE STANDARD ON THE SITUATION. [UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Received January 6, 10.20 a.m. Washington, January 5. Great activity is being displayed m American dockyards. The American press discourage Mr J. G. Blames' action with regard to the Behring fisheries. London, January 5. The Standard, m an article on the Behring Sea fishery dispute, says it cannot believe tnat Mr Blame will be allowed to wantonly force a conflict between the United States and England m order to overtrump his political rivals. Telegrams issued by Dalziel's News Agency highly colour the discontent said to exist among the people of Newfoundland. The formation of anti-British Leagues is being encouraged by the Americans.
