In the Chess v Congress ' on Saturday, Sie'deberg beat Sexton, Littlejohn beat Hookham, Baf nes beat Mouat, Edwards £ea* Boltpn. • The ; great r battle between' Qllivier* (Ctrfst'Qhurch):and Bolton (Wellington) was "resumed at 7.30, when the latter's 95th move was disclosed, and the visitor resigned at move 102. This is the longest game of tournament, occupying altogether 10J hours. Olivier (Christchurch), Siedeberg (Dunedin), Barnes (Wellington) are leading, each haviDg been defeated twice ; Hookbatn (Christchurch), with three Josses, coming nest. The finish for first and second place promises to be very exciting. .
