ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) . Carterton, July 5. Mr John Dorsett, a settler at Tewhiti, Gladstone, was killed yesterday afternoon whilst falling bush. As he did not return home m the evening, a se.arch party was organised, and he was found by Mr Corpe, sawmiller. The body was quite stiff, and he must have been dead some hours. It is supposed that m falling a tree a dead one near was liberated, which fell and struck him m the forehead, inflicting &> terrible wound. The deceased leaves a widow and six children. Deceased was a sou of the late Mr William Dorsett, an old Wellington settler. He was married to a daughter of Mr A. W. Renall, Mayor of Masterton. . New Plymouth, July 6. At a football match yesterday one man had his collar bone broken, one his leg badly hurt, and another sustained very painful injury to' one of his fingers.
