Received July 4, 12.45 p.m. The revenue returns for the twelve months ending 30th June, shows an increase of L 726.000 on the preceding twelve months. j Adelaide, July 4. It is expected that the work of repairing the cables will not be accomplished without great ' difficulty owing to the great depth of water on the cable route. It is thought that the British-India steamer Cloncurry, due at Thursday Island on Sunday, may bring cablegrams from Banjoewangi. The blacks are again very troublesome m the northern territory. It is reported that several murders have recently been committed by them. Hobart, July 4. The Assembly last night adopted a duty of one shilling on wheaten flour per lOOlbs, and tenpence on bran per lOOlbs ; wooden doors twenty per cent, cement ninepence per- cwt. Brisbane, July 4. The revenue returns for the twelve months ending 30th Juue, show a debit balance of £600,000. Melbourne, July 4. The Port Melbourne Football Club beat the Englishmen by seven goals to six.
