Sir Joh.i Hall, who raoently arrived here, had an interview with the Premier yesterday, when matters of common interest to New Zealand and thia Colony were discussed. It was suggested by the Premier that New Zealand should be represented by a member of the Government at the forthcoming conference. PostmasterGeneral Parkes also expressed himself favorable to the consideration of the Canadian route as the speediest means of transit for Australasian mails.
