. — + THE YORKSHIRE MATCH. Londou, July m. The cricket match, Australians v. Yorkshire, was resumed to-day at Sheffield. The weather was line and there was again an euorinons attendance. Great interest was taken m the contest, The Home team with 12 runs and no wickets down continued their iirst innings, which closed lor 158. Bates was the highest scorer with 57 (caught). The Home team were 117 behind the Australians and followed on with their eecoud innings, and made a better stand, their score at the close of the day's play being 281 with seven wickets down. The highest scorers were-Bates, bowled, 44 ; Preston, bowled, 87.
