Wool. — A more, cheerful tone has prevailed m this market during the past month ; the reports from the manufacturing centres are more satisfactory, and ib is evident stocks m consumers' hands are comparatively small. There has been an active demand for Wool f, ora France, and a good mauy enquiries from Yorkshire ;■ sales are effected at prices fully equal to the highest of those of last sales.

The next Public Sales commence on 31st insfc.', and with the quantity hold over from the last series, the totnl for disposal will be about 200.000 bales. It is generally believed the closing rates of last sales will be fully maintained ; unless indeed political movements m Europe exert a damaging influence.

Washe \ Fleece, superior Is 6^-d to 23 2d, medium la 3kl to Is 6d ; inferior and faulty Is to la 3d per Ib.
