Os Thursday a meeting was held at the School House, Wairau Valley, for the Wairau Valley district. Mr James White was the Returning Officer, and about 15 or 16 persons were present. Mr Ockley proposed Mr William Adams, of Langley Dale, as a member for the district, who was seconded by Mr W. Bell.
