JOURNALIST AND CLERGYMAN.
A BLOW ON THE NOSE. Percy T. Morton, who stated that he was a journalist, was charged iu the Kew Court (Melbourne) with having been drunk oil June 20. Sergeant Selwood- stated that Morton had entered a house, apparently by mistake, as he was drunk. A clergyman who was visiting the house .went to the door, and i was hit on the nose bv Morton. The blow caused the nose to bleed profuse- ; ly. 'Hie clergyman closed with his as- J sailant and pinned him to the. ground < while the lady of the house telephoned I for the police. The clergyman, who was waiting to f condust a. burial service at another ' houso, statrid to the police that it was i the hardest •chm t he had stopped for ajl long while. He refused to lay a chartrej i against the man for assault, saying hej pitied him instead. ] The defendant was charged' with admonition. I
