FOOD INVENTOR'S SUICIDE.

He had been suffering for mouths from appendicitis ii"d stomach disorder, following an operation for the former trouble, It is noteworthy that four years ago Mr Post lost a libel suit brought against him by 'Collier's AYeekly' as the result of his charging the latter with blackmail in' censuring him for giving the impression in advertisements that grape nuts would obviate the necessity of an operation for appendicitis.. The same suit produced evidence that Mr Post was an ardent believer in healing by mental suggestion.

Though a lifelong invalid, Mr Post, in addition it) directing- an enormous business', took an active pirt in public affairs, being for seven! years chairman of the National Citizens' Industrial Association and a bitter antagonist of labor unions.
