Mr Austin Diamond (Sydney) will captain and Mr Dow (Adelaide) will act as treasurer of a team which they are organising to tour America. The team will leave in April and matches will be played against United States and Canada. The programme also includes Bermuda and the East Indies. The 'Herald' says that no notification has been given to the Board of Control which, it is stated in some quarters, would object to a tour that would secure prominent players, thus thwarting the Board's efforts to select a first class team to visit South, Africa. Players have received an invitation in a confidential way.
