Mr M. A. Noble, the famous cricketer, has married Ellen, the youngest daughter of Rev. and Mrs Fer<ni ~a j of St. Peters (states a Sydney Press Association cable). At the annual meeting of the Gore Fire Brigade held last evening Lieutenant E. E. Wallis was elected the brigade's delegate to the annual conference of the United Fire Brigades' Association, which will open at Akaroa on March 9. Lieutenant Baker and- Secretary Martin are members of the conference ex officio.
