Ideal weather was experienced for the Gore Trotting Club's annual meeting to-day, the day being the hottest experienced this season. Natural\ the attendance was very large, and those present were rewarded with a capital clay's racing, in which several keenly-fougfat-out finishes were witnessed. All arrangements in, connection with the meeting were carried out in a capable and thorough manner, the grounds and track were in first-class order, and everything was favorable to the public deriving a maximum of enjoyment from their outing. The following are the results of the racing up to the time of going to press:—
NOVICE HANDICAP, of 75 sovs.; second, horse 10 so vs., third 5 sovs. from the stakes. For horses that have never won a race exceeding £lO in value. One mile and a-half. Optional. 1 Mr T. E.
