BIG GOOSEBERRY.

A yellow goosebeddy, almost as large as a hen's egg and weighing over 1 1-50j5., was shown at the annual show at Harborne, Birmingham, by Mr E. Withers. This is not the record for the .show, which is famous for its big gooseberries; in 1875 ther ewas one weighing nearly l|oz. In London in 1*52 a berry was exhibited weighing nearly 2oz.
